Refund & Cancellation Policy
Vathsalya Charitable Trust (VCT) is committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in all donations received. As a registered charitable organization, donations made to VCT are voluntary contributions intended to support our charitable programs and initiatives. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and support.
1. Donation Cancellation
Once a donation has been successfully processed, it is considered final and cannot ordinarily be cancelled. Donors are requested to verify all details carefully before completing the transaction.
2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds may be considered only under exceptional circumstances, including:
- Duplicate donation transactions.
- Technical errors resulting in an incorrect or multiple payment.
- Unauthorized or fraudulent transactions, subject to verification.
- Any other exceptional circumstance as determined by VCT.
Approval of a refund request is at the sole discretion of VCT after verification of the relevant facts and supporting documentation.
3. Refund Request Procedure
To request a refund, the donor must submit a written request within seven (7) days from the date of the transaction.
The request should include:
- Donor’s full name
- Contact number and email address
- Date of donation
- Donation amount
- Transaction Reference ID
- Reason for requesting the refund
- Refund requests should be sent via email – shapingdestinies@vctblr.org
VCT may request additional information or documents to verify the claim before processing the request.
4. Refund Processing
If a refund request is approved:
- The refund will be processed within 7-10 working days from the date of approval.
- Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the donation.
Processing time may vary depending on the policies and timelines of the donor’s bank or payment service provider.
5. Payment Gateway
Online donations are processed through secure third-party payment gateways, including Razorpay. Refunds, where approved, shall be processed through the same payment gateway or payment method used for the original transaction and shall be subject to the applicable policies of the payment gateway provider.
6. Changes to this Policy
Vathsalya Charitable Trust reserves the right to modify or update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective upon publication on this page.
