Vathsalya Charitable Trust

Vathsalya (/vātsalya/ - /Vāt-suh-lye-āh/)
transitive verb
parental love: the deep, unconditional love that parents have for their children

Vathsalya Charitable Trust has been providing that parental love to thousands of children over the past 3 decades.

Vathsalya Charitable Trust is a non-profit, non-government organization registered on June 28, 1988, under the Indian Trusts’ Act of 1882.

Vision

We aim to preserve families by meeting their needs through community programs. We aspire to develop these programs and reach the wider migrant communities of India, bringing awareness and advocacy to this population.

Mission

To preserve and provide a sustainable environment for healthy mothers, children and families by providing Nutrition, Education and Counseling.

History

Our Philosophies

Vathsalya Charitable Trust : “Shaping Destinies”

At Vathsalya, we believe in shaping young minds and nurturing futures. As Haim Ginott wisely said, “Children are like wet cement; whatever falls on them makes an impression.”

We embrace the idea that while parents hold the primary key to their child’s experiences, teachers share the responsibility: “Teachers have a spare key. They, too, can open or close the minds and hearts of children.”

Guided by the principle, “Those who have less to eat, must eat right,” we are committed to combating malnutrition and ensuring that every meal counts.

We also champion the journey of personal growth for women, inspired by the belief: “The woman I was yesterday introduced me to the woman I am today, which makes me excited about meeting the woman I will become tomorrow.”
